The wait is over

The ballot has been run and those who were chosen for a place have been notified by email, and given a deadline to enter. Those unsuccessful in the ballot will be added to a waiting list and contacted if and when places become available. We will be recruiting marshals for the day. Contact marshalling@themoyleman.com if you can help

The ballot for the 2025 Moyleman is open

The ballot for places for the 2025 Moyleman is open. Enter at https://themoyleman.eventrac.co.uk/e/the-moyleman-10000

Entries remain open until 9pm on Saturday 26 October. Half marathon applications need to include the details of each runner on the team. This is important; please don’t both enter.

Runners who deferred a place in the 2024 event have a 2025 place automatically. We will be in touch.

We will announce the result of the ballot in the week beginning Monday 28 October. If successful, you then have 48 hours to secure your place.

A ballot will make entry smoother and less stressful. The old system of didn’t give everyone an equal chance of a place, and the entry system couldn’t cope with the numbers interested in running the Moyleman.

We know that many of you will not be lucky enough to secure a place. We hope if you’re unsuccessful, you’ll come along to marshal or cheer the runners home.

Moyleman 2024: sold out!

Entries for the 2024 Moyleman sold out within minutes of going on sale. We’re now full and have an extensive waiting list. If you were successful, we’ll see you in Lewes on 17th March 2024. If not, would you like to marshal for us? Contact our chief marshal.

See you next year!

Our 2022 event took place on Sunday 20 March 2022. Look out for announcements about our 2023 date later this year. Places will go on sale in mid October 2022

Finally, if you know now that you can’t make it in 2023 to run, but you can offer help marshalling, please do let us know! Our marshals are a vital part of Moyleman – we couldn’t hold the event without them.

All the best for your running in the months ahead!

moyleman 2021 event cancelled

Following the UK government announcement yesterday (4th January 2021), and in view of the rising levels of infection in the area, we have decided to cancel the 2021 race planned for mid-March.

We’ve carefully considered all possible options and take the view that now is the time to do all we can to help keep people safe. That includes our runners, our marshals, our volunteers and their families.

Like you, we are sad to lose this year’s event. We wanted to get this message out immediately, but we’d also like to set out our thinking behind this decision, so that will follow.

We’re also thinking of holding an online event where we can discuss planning for next year’s event. The race will next be held in March 2022. We’re looking at dates and will confirm this ASAP.

Stay at home, stay safe and healthy, follow the guidance and enjoy the hills and the trails responsibly.

All best wishes

Duncan & Ash
